Treat stains immediately to prevent them from becoming permanent. For fresh stains, dampen a towel with cold water, wring it out, and place it over the stain without rubbing or wiping. Gently remove the substance using a spoon. Avoid scrubbing, as it may spread the stain and damage the rug fibers, making the stain more visible. Do not use dish soap or bleach, as they may leave residue and harm the rug. Instead, use a specialized carpet stain remover.
Avoid using rough brushes or blades on the rug, and do not scrub stains vigorously to prevent damaging the fibers and spreading the stain. Also, avoid using strong cleaners or bleach, which can harm the colors and texture of the rug. Do not soak the rug in water, as this can damage the fabric and cause unpleasant odors.
